Who We Are
Established in 2019, H&Hendricks are a boutique firm of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors that specialise in increasing business value and preparing companies for future sale. We typically only undertake engagements that are related to this objective and tend not to offer general accountancy or tax advice otherwise; we prefer to leave that up to your existing accountants and advisors.
Crucially, we are not business brokers or M&A advisors either so we will not find a buyer for your company; we’ll ensure that, as a business owner, you are best positioned to realise the maximum value for what you have built whenever the time arises. As a regulated member firm of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales we are bound by the ICAEW Code of Ethics.

I would like to explore possible future options regarding my business. Can I speak to someone without obligation?
Yes. H&Hendricks is a member of the ICAEW Business Advice Service and are able to offer an initial free consultation to any UK small or medium-sized business.
Will I be required to invest in my business further to make it more valuable?
Not necessarily. We also target ‘low-hanging fruit’ to unlock value within the business. This may be as simple as refreshing how your board meetings are conducted or improving working capital management. Optimising Performance is a key part of what we do and, in many instances, it involves an investment of management time as opposed to cash.

Will H&Hendricks sell my business for me?
No. H&Hendricks specialise in increasing business value and preparing companies for sale ahead of appointing a business broker or M&A advisor. Whilst we can certainly guide you on the steps you need to take to sell your business, we will not find a buyer for your business.

If I do decide to sell my business how long do I need to prepare?
That depends. To achieve a fair value we suggest that you allow a minimum of 6 months to prepare your business before putting it up for sale. However, we advise that you start your preparations at least two years in advance if you want to realise the maximum value for what you have built.

I’m looking for accounting and tax services, is this something that H&Hendricks can assist me with?
That depends. H&Hendricks specialise in increasing business value and preparing companies for future sale. We do not typically undertake routine accountancy and tax engagements unless it is related to this objective.
I’d like to expand my business by purchasing another company. Is this something H&Hendricks can help me with?
Yes. We can assist you in the process of evaluating, purchasing and integrating target companies.
